Each year, Anderson Shotokan Karate hosts a Youth Shiai — an informal tournament that introduces youth to the competition experience in a supportive environment. The shiai is also good practice for rank testing! This year, the event’s scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026. Doors open at 10:30am. The tournament starts at 11am. Expect the tournament to last 1-to-2 hours. We’ll have a bake sale and dojo-store, too! There are 3 events: individual kata, individual kumite, and team kata.
